The most recent Church census (2010) found that 50 per cent of the Churches in England have no 11 to 14 year olds in the congregation, and 59 per cent have no 15 to 19 year olds. In 2001 the Way Ahead report noted, "If the children are not coming to us, we must go to them. Church schools are the Church’s major opportunity to serve young people."
